An interactive teaching app for energy system modelling with PyPSA. It is the first module of a larger Energy System Modelling (ESM) app.
What it shows
- Single- vs. multi-zone clearing. The same three-zone system is cleared as one bidding zone and as separate zones, showing how the zone configuration changes prices and dispatch.
- Transmission sensitivity. Sliders set interconnector capacities, and the app re-solves the least-cost dispatch (a linear program). You can watch prices diverge under congestion and converge as capacity grows.
