About Me

Welcome! I’m Syed Zain Abbas, a power engineering graduate and data scientist focused on applying machine learning and advanced analytics to energy systems. My work sits at the intersection of renewable energy, energy markets, and data-driven modelling. Experienced in applying Python-based analytics and machine learning to electricity price forecasting, generation forecasting, and energy system optimization, as well as building data pipelines, databases, and analytical tools in industrial environments. My recent research explores graph-based generative models for synthetic distribution grid data generation. I’m motivated by using data and intelligent systems to help design more resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure.
